The turtle and the rat

They had a little chat

Under a flower-bud they sat

And spoke of this and that

            Do you think it will rain?

            Or did I in vain

            Took on my house again?

                        That’s what the turtle said

                        And to this, his old friend

                        Replied: “Just look ahead

                        The summer’s bound to end
